Bamboo design course and construction

A hands-on experience developing confidence around the basic concepts and techniques of working practically with bamboo. Through this program you will gain experience with bamboo joinery and carpentry and experience the design process for a group project or individual creative project (as you choose) with the guidance of expert bamboo carpenters and master-craftsmen from Belega – Bali’s world-famous village of bamboo builders. Come and experience Hands-On Bamboo Building and Construction… From basic to advanced carpentry and joinery, design principles and model-making, techniques and practical tips for furniture-making, traditional and modern structure bamboo building, interiors and art alongside local families and culture… Internship programs are tailored according to the needs and interests of students. Our Internship program is for those interested to be able to build with bamboo and the practical aspects of construction – from harvesting and treatment to design and carpentry. We learn about traditional and modern techniques of bamboo building – exploring practically the various techniques involved, workshop design ideas and work on a practical build for a community project.
